LWML
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

The LWML has been an active part of Our Savior for many years. The LWML ladies at OSLC meets once a month (usually on the first Wednesday).  All congregational ladies are invited and encouraged to join this monthly fellowship.  Activities of a LWML meeting include a group praying session followed by devotions and business updates and, of course, a dessert break. The current LWML president is Cookie Horton; she can be reached at 510-758-1961.

Bible Study
Adult Bible Study and Sunday School are available at OSLC on Sunday mornings with classes starting at 9:15 AM. The Adult Bible Study usually studies a theme related to the lessons for the particular Sunday.

Midweek Bible Class m
eets on every Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Currently, the classes are on a hiatus through the end of the year. It will resume at the beginning, 2010.

Tuesday Sewing Group
Ladies from OSLC join their sisters at Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond on every Tuesday at 10:00 am. Last year, they sewed over 150 quilts that were donated to various organizations including nursing homes and Lutheran Social Services. Some of the precious quilts were used for OSLC fund-raising outreach and activities.

Vacation Bible School
Every summer, OSLC holds a week-long Vacation Bible School that invites children of pre-school through 8th grade, regardless of their religious backgrounds. Children get involved in theme related activities such as craftwork, games, music, talent shows in addition to Bible lessons. On the last day of the week, parents are invited to join for a closing BBQ. This is a fun- and spirit-filled week.

The 2009 VBS was held on June 22~26 at OSLC. The theme was "Kingdom of the Man". The program director was Carole Mckillop. Many church members volunteered to make it another successful event. About 50 kids were there on the last day!

The 2010 VBS will be held sometime in August. Details will be announced later.

Pinole City Christmas Tree Lighting Festival
OSLC has been a participant for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Fair organized by the City of Pinole for the past three years. Volunteers from OSLC including Pastor Rawland set up a booth, greeted visitors and gave out church fliers and other reach-out materials.
